ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Eureka volleyball team fell in straight sets against Webster on Tuesday evening, with set scores of 13-25, 16-25, and 13-25.
After defeating Webster earlier this season, the Gorloks responded by winning the second and final match of the season between the two teams. They did so in commanding fashion, starting strong with a 25-13 victory in the first set. The Gorloks carried that momentum into the second set, defeating the Red Devils 25-16. Eureka struggled to mount a comeback in the third set, and Webster sealed the match with a 25-13 win.
Alyssa Company (Lincoln, Ill./Lincoln Community) led Eureka with 7 kills. Hallee Gauna (Arcola, Ill./Arcola) contributed 3 solo blocks, while Brooklyn Shell (Evansville, Ind./Mount Vernon) recorded 11 digs for the Red Devils.
