Greenville Takes Down Eureka, 3-0

GREENVILLE, Ill. – Greenville took down the Eureka volleyball team 3-0 to stay unbeaten in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play on Wednesday.

The final scores were 25-10, 25-11, 25-10.

Eureka's Halle Gauna (Arcola, Ill./Arcola/Lincoln Trail College) posted four kills and had one solo block and two assists to finish with a team-high six points on the night. Payton Florine (Galesburg, Ill./Abingdon-Avon/Lincoln) also had four kills while hitting .273 on the night.

On the other side of the net, Greenville racked up 14, 13 and 15 kills per set, respectively.

Abby Grohman finished with a match-high 13 kills while hitting .440. Mia Bonacorsi notched eight kills, and Katelyn Murray distributed a team-team high 16 assists and Emma Ratermann had 15. The team landed a match-high 17 aces.

The Red Devils (2-8, 1-4 SLIAC) will continue their busy week with another road match on Friday against Fontbonne (8-5, 3-1) at 7 p.m.
