No. 15 Greenville Defeats Eureka Volleyball, 3-0

EUREKA — The Eureka volleyball team fell to No. 15 nationally-ranked Greenville in three sets in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action at Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena and Convocation Center on Friday.

The Panthers, who rose from 25th to 15th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association national poll this week, hit a solid .333 on the night and won it 25-11, 25-12, 25-13.

Junior middle hitter Corinne DeBoard (Centralia, Ill./Christ Our Rock Lutheran) racked up a team-high seven kills for the Red Devils on 20 attempts and notched 11 digs to make it a double-double.

Sophomore defensive specialist Jordyn Fox (Pontiac, Ill./Pontiac) came up with a team-high 15 digs and had one ace, and freshman Regan Reed (Flanagan, Ill./Flanagan-Cornell) added 12.

Freshman Katelin Peters (New Berlin, Ill./New Berlin) followed DeBoard in kills with five, while setter Faith Catour (Orion, Ill./Orion) distributed 16 assists. The Red Devils hit a team-best .194 in the second set.

Greenville's Anna Finch and Jasmin Smith led the way at the net for the Panthers with 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Setters Jordan Lempa and Kaitlin Murray registered 18 and 13 assits, respectively, and libero Gretchen Bond notched 13 digs.

Eureka (0-9, 0-9) heads to Fontbonne (3-5, 3-5) on Wednesday for a road match at 7 p.m.
