LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Eureka women's soccer team suffered a 10-0 defeat against Spalding on Saturday afternoon.
Spalding wasted no time getting the scoring started, netting their first goal in the 3rd minute. They added four more goals before halftime, taking a 5-0 lead. The Golden Eagles maintained the pressure in the second half, scoring four more times in the first 14 minutes of the half. They capped the scoring with another goal in the 80th minute, bringing the final score to 10-0.
Hannah Jachimiak (Arvada, Colo./Ralston Valley) and Megan Edwards (Manchester, Mich./Manchester) shared goalkeeping duties for the Red Devils. Jachimiak started and made 9 saves in the first half, while Edwards recorded 8 saves in the second half.
