EUREKA, Ill. – The Eureka women's soccer team lost at home on Friday night to MUW, with a final score of 3-0.
The Red Devils fought hard duyring the opening half hour, but it was the Owls who scored first, taking a 1-0 lead in the 32nd minute. MUW added another goal just before halftime in the 45th minute, extending their lead to 2-0.
Eureka continued to battle in the second half, but MUW broke through again with a goal in the 69th minute, sealing a 3-0 victory. MUW outshot Eureka 25-0, with 12 of those on target. Hannah Jachimiak (Arvada, Colo./Ralston Valley) made 7 saves in 70 minutes in goal, while Megan Edwards (Manchester, Mich./Manchester) recorded 2 saves in 20 minutes.
