GREENVILLE, Ill. – The Eureka women's soccer team dropped a 9-0 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match on Wednesday.
The Panthers put away four goals in the first half and added five more in the second against a shorthanded Red Devils squad.
Ashlie Johnston Cabral finished with a hat trick for the home team. Allyson Schulz scored twice, and Nina Torvisco, Jen De Leon De Leon, Athena Hagerman and Samantha Cruz all found the back of the net once.
Senior Daniela Gonzales (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods/Lincoln) notched the Red Devils' lone shot. Sophomore Kate LeMasters (Metamora, Ill./Metamora) posted 13 saves in her first career start in goal.
On Saturday, the Red Devils (3-12, 2-11 SLIAC) will host Principia (4-10, 3-10 SLIAC) for Senior Day at 1 p.m.
