EUREKA – The Eureka women's soccer team fell 9-0 against St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champion Fontbonne on a warm afternoon at McKinzie Field on Friday.

The Red Devils held the Griffins to three goals in the first half, but the three-time defending conference champs put away six goals in the second half.

Leading scorer Krystal Kohenskey recorded a hat trick and had two assists for the Griffins. Allyson Jones scored twice in the second half, and Beth Kasten, Alyson Carroll, Katie Leeker and Cassidy Head all put on the board as well.

Eureka goalkeeper Madi Jerigan (Bartonville, Ill./Limestone) racked up a career-high 20 saves in net for the Red Devils, and the maroon and gold fought hard with a limited roster against a strong team that hasn't conceded a goal in conference play this season.

The Red Devils (3-11, 2-10 SLIAC) will next take on Greenville (7-6-2, 4-1-1) on the road on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
