Senior Spotlight: Kayleigh Choma

Eureka College sports information director Alex Hess caught up with senior Kayleigh Choma of the women's soccer team for the third release of the 2015-16 weekly Senior Spotlight series that will have new seniors interviewed every Wednesday.

Q. What is your greatest athletic memory at Eureka College?

One of my greatest athletic memories was scoring my first collegiate goal my sophomore year. As a defender, I don't many opportunities to take shots on goal. It also was a confidence booster for me because I finally realized that I was better than I thought I was.

Q. Describe yourself in one sentence?

According to coach, I'm not a daisy. I am a dedicated but also go with the flow type of person.

Q. Aside from playing soccer, what are some of your other passions?

I enjoy hanging out with my friends and sisters in my sorority. I love just being able to relax and talk to them in my free time.

Q. What do you plan on doing after graduation from Eureka College with your (degree)?

I plan on going to graduate school for chemistry research.

Q. What is one piece of advice you would give an incoming freshman?

One piece of advice I would give is to try new things. You will never know what you like until you try. I regret not trying to get involved and take chances earlier in my college career.
