Trevor Hedges and Natallie Tobuk Named SLIAC Wrestlers of the Week
ST. LOUIS, MO. – For the second time this season, both the men's and women's St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Wrestlers of the Week are from Eureka College.
Eureka freshman Trevor Hedges (Canton, Ill./Canton) received the weekly award on the men's side for the second time this season. Hedges pinned Fontbonne's Eric Harmon in just 29 seconds in the Red Devils' 29-23 win over the Griffins. The pin marked Hedges' 13th win of the season. He is the first Red Devil wrestler ever to receive the award twice in one season.
On the women's side, freshman Natallie Tobuk (Nome, Alaska/Nome-Beltz) brought home the award. She moved up in weight class to notch her 14th win of the season, pinning Fontbonne's Jasmine Gordon in 2:24.
The Eureka wrestling teams will next play host to Lyon College on Saturday, January 27th.
