EUREKA – Undefeated Webster took down the Eureka women's basketball team 81-51 at Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena and Convocation Center on Tuesday.

Kennedy Jackson (Peoria, Ill./Limestone/Carl Sandburg) tallied a team-high 14 points on 7-of-12 shooting and Abby Stotler (Wyoming, Ill./Stark County/MacMurray) added 11 points on a night that the Red Devils struggled to score consistently.

Senior Olivia Falls (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington) added eight points and is now 11 points away from reaching 1,000 in her career. Shakaya Rogers (Hanover, Mich./Concord/Glen Oaks) contributed six points.

Webster set the tone of the game with a suffocating press and tight defense in the half-court, making it difficult for EC to find its comfort zone.

Eureka was within single digits after the first quarter, but the Red Devils went cold in the second quarter and the Gorloks extended the lead to 24 points. The home team competed better in the third quarter, shooting 57.9 percent from the field and keeping the game within a respectable margin. Webster pulled away to a 30-point lead in the fourth.

Webster's Addison Beussink notched a game-high 21 points on 11-for-19 shooting. She was followed by Naomi Johnson and Kate Rolfes, who posted 13 and 11 points, respectively.

The Red Devils (4-8, 0-2 SLIAC) will vie for their first SLIAC win of the season on Saturday on the road against Fontbonne (6-7, 2-1).
