BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Eureka women's basketball team dropped a 91-41 non-conference road contest against a strong Illinois Wesleyan squad.

The Titans raced to a 29-point lead in the first quarter, leaving a gulf between the home team and the Red Devils the rest of the way.

Juniors Abby Stotler (Wyoming, Ill./Stark County) and Sydney Hannam (Canton, Ill./Canton) each scored eight for points for the Red Devils. Olivia Falls (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington) notched seven points and pulled down six rebounds – tying with Marissa Murphy (Canton, Ill./Canton) for a team-high.

Kennedy Jackson (Peoria, Ill./Limestone) added six points and four rebounds, while Josie Ness (Sandwich, Ill./Sandwich) tallied five rebounds and four points.

Illinois Wesleyan's Catie Eck (14 points) and Lauren Huber (12 points) both reached double figures for the Titans, who shot 43.6 percent from the field and 48 points off turnovers.

Eureka (1-4) will next host Aurora (2-1) on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m.
