ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Eureka College freshman guard Kennedy Dura (Edwards, Ill./Brimfield H.S.) has been selected St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday afternoon. Dura scored 16 points in the Red Devils' 66-49 league win at Greenville last Wednesday.

Dura shot 7-for-11 from the field and 2-for-3 from 3-point range in the Red Devils' largest margin of victory at Greenville since the 1992-93 season. She added four assists, three steals and two rebounds in 32 minutes of action.

The win at Greenville was Eureka's sixth straight against SLIAC opponents. The Red Devils remain alone atop the current SLIAC standings and the 6-0 league mark remains Eureka's best since beginning conference-affiliated play at the NCAA Division III level prior to the 1996-97 season.

Dura is the third Red Devil to earn the weekly award this season, joining teammates Michaela Balducci (Eureka, Ill./Eureka H.S.) and Lexi Dooley (Sutter, Ill./Warsaw H.S.). Additionally, the first-year guard is Eureka's first freshman to be named SLIAC Player of the Week since Caty Eeten received the honor on Feb. 21, 2011.

Eureka will be back in action Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Iowa Wesleyan in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
