Edmondson Earns Third Team All-SLIAC Honors

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Eureka's Jake Edmondson (Monticello, Ill./Monticello) has been named to the All-SLIAC Third Team, marking the second time in his career he has received All-SLIAC recognition.

The senior center back earned the honor following a standout season for the Red Devils, the conference announced on Tuesday morning. Edmondson was previously named to the All-SLIAC Third Team in 2022 and was also selected to the SLIAC All-Tournament Team in 2023.

Edmondson played a crucial role in Eureka's defensive efforts, earning the respect and recognition of the conference's coaches. He was one of just two Red Devils to start all 18 games this season, alongside teammate Michael DeCarlo (Bourbonnais, Ill./Bradley-Bourbonnais).

Despite his primary role as a center back, Edmondson contributed offensively, ranking sixth on the team for shots on goal and eighth for total shots.

In addition to Edmondson's individual honors, the Red Devils were awarded the SLIAC Team Sportsmanship Award for the fifth time in program history. Roberto Bucio (Bloomington, Ill./Bloomington) was named as the Red Devils' representative on the SLIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
