Michael DeCarlo Named SLIAC Offensive Player of the Week

EUREKA, Ill. – Eureka's Michael DeCarlo (Bourbonnais, Ill./Bradley-Bourbonnais) has been selected St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week. 

On Tuesday, DeCarlo recorded 1 goal and 3 assists during a 5-4 win over Maranatha Baptist. His three assists tied for the second most assists in a single match in school history, and he played the full 90 minutes in the win. Four days later, DeCarlo contributed 77 minutes in a loss to Ripon.

Eureka finished the week 1-1 with a 5-4 win on the road over Maranatha Baptist on Tuesday, but could not carry that momentum into the weekend, falling 4-1 against Ripon on Saturday.

The Red Devils (2-7-0) travel to Arkansas on Saturday, Sep. 28 to take on Lyon (2-3-2) at 11:30 a.m. in their first SLIAC contest of the season.
