Men’s Soccer Drops Close Match at Illinois Wesleyan

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Eureka men's soccer team battled hard at Illinois Wesleyan but fell 1-0 due to a late goal.

The Red Devils were unable to break through after the Titans scored in the 77th minute with what turned out to be the game-winning goal. Eureka had opportunities to equalize but could not find the back of the net. The best chance of the night came when Sophomore Owen Peich (Lake Zurich Ill./Lake Zurich) had a look at goal in the 89th minute, but the Titans' goalkeeper made a crucial save.

Freshman goalkeeper, Kohle Andrakowicz (Elgin, Okla./Elgin), had a strong performance for the Red Devils, recording 5 saves and playing the full 90 minutes.

The Titans outshot the Red Devils 15-5 and held a 6-3 advantage in shots on target.
