EUREKA – Eureka's Khalil Alleyne (Diego Martin, Trinidad/Fatima College/Lincoln) has been selected St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week.

The Red Devils' star striker netted two goals, including the match-winner in the team's 4-3 win over Rockford on Wednesday. He then helped the maroon and gold record a pair of tough non-conference draws over the weekend against Ripon and Illinois Tech, respectively.

Alleyne is the first SLIAC Offensive Player of the Week under second-year coach Ryan Woodside and the second to receive a SLIAC weekly honor this season.

Last week, senior defender Santiago Herrera ((Guayaquil, Ecuador/Colegio Americano de Guayaquil/Lincoln) received SLIAC Defensive Player of the Week honors. The Red Devils didn't receive either award in the entire 2022 season.

Alleyne, who ranks eighth in program history in goals, now has 11 goals in 21 matches as a Red Devil. He is one of three Red Devils to have two goals this season; Isaac Noriega (Chicago, Ill./Muchin College Prep/Lincoln) and Owen Peich (Lake Zurich, Ill./Lake Zurich) are the other two.

Eureka (2-1-2) will next take on Illinois College (3-2) on Saturday in a road, non-conference contest at 1:30 p.m.
