Fontbonne Downs Eureka, 3-1

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Eureka men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match at Fontbonne on Saturday.

Khalil Alleyne (Diego Martin, Trinidad/Fatima College/Lincoln) put away the lone goal for the Red Devils on a penalty kick in the 82nd minute.

Fontbonne notched two goals early in the first half after a couple of defensive lapses, then tacked on another one early in the second half.

Carter Youmans scored the first on assist by Ian Steinkamp and Owen Gober put away the second one on a rebound. Gober connected with Youmans for the Griffins' third goal of the match and Youmans' second of the day.

Each team finished with seven shots and four goal on goal. Alleyene recorded two shots on goal, while Raphael Mungu (Bloomington, Ill./Normal) and Jordan Pierre (Chicago, Ill./Kenwood Academy/Lincoln) each had one.

The Red Devils (4-5, 2-3 SLIAC) will next host Greenville on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
