Eureka Falls at Ripon, 4-1

RIPON, Wis. – The Eureka men's soccer team dropped a 4-1 non-conference match at Ripon on Saturday.

Jordan Pierre (Chicago, Ill./Kenwood Academy/Lincoln) scored the lone goal for the Red Devils in the 77th minute.

Four different scorers found the back of the net for the Red Hawks, while Eli Dietzel posted three assists.

Tim Geocaris put the home team on the board on a Dietzel assist in the 11th minute. The Red Devils held the Red Hawks scoreless for the next 51 minutes. Finley Manning made it 2-0 on an assist by Dietzel in the 62nd.

Then, Ripon struck again with back-to-back goals in the 70th and 71st minutes. Jacob Oppener scored on a Dietzel assist, while Andre Robertson put away the final goal for the home team on an assist by Connor Reiner.

The Red Hawks outshot the Red Devils 17-7 on the day and put nine shots on goal to EC's four.

Eureka's Isaac Noriega (Chicago, Ill./Muchin College Prep/Lincoln) and Daniel Jüeliger (London, UK/Netherhall Secondary School/Lincoln) each fired two goals and put one on frame. Brayton Strawkas (Buffalo, Ill./Tri-City) recorded five saves in goal for Eureka.

The Red Devils (2-2) will next open St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play at home against Blackburn (2-1) on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
