FENTON, Mo. – The Webster men's soccer team captured the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference title outright on Saturday with a victory over Eureka.
The Gorloks amassed a 6-0 lead in the first half and added four more in the second to score a 10-0 victory and improve to 9-1-1 on the season.
Ten Webster players found the back of the net: Jarrett Gabriele, Aamahn Murvin, Mark Moore, Noah Abraham, Carlos Llamas, James Carr, Matt Ceriotti, Logan Takizawa, Dylan Jannin and Armin Jusufovic.
Eureka's Diego Cintora (Watseka, Ill./Wateska) fired the lone shot for the Red Devils. Goalkeeper Bryer Beadles (Mattoon, Ill./Mattoon) recorded 14 saves in 90 minutes in goal.
The Red Devils (0-9) will face Principia (3-6) on the road in the opening round of the SLIAC Tournament on Monday. Kickoff time is to be determined.
