Eureka Struggles Against Webster in Road Loss

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Eureka men's basketball team fell to Webster 93-59 on Saturday afternoon after a decisive scoring run late in the first half gave the Gorloks control of the game.

Eureka briefly held a 10-9 lead early in the game after a layup from Emaryon Byrd (Peoria, Ill./Manual), but Webster responded and built a 27-20 advantage. A crucial 20-0 run to close out the half widened the gap, leaving the Red Devils trailing 47-20 at the break.

In the second half, Eureka looked to generate momentum, but Webster maintained control. Byrd fought inside, securing offensive rebounds and finishing at the rim, while Raymond Bandzoumouna (Lisle, Ill./Lisle) knocked down a late 3-pointer.
