COLUMBUS, MS. – The Eureka men's basketball team dropped a 90-78 road contest at Mississippi University for Women on Saturday.
Eureka junior guard Peewee Brown (Peoria, Ill./Manual/Lincoln) racked up a game-high 30 points and came away with 6 rebounds.
Cody Baer (Peoria, Ill./Dunlap/Southwestern Illinois) added 12 points to the Red Devil's scoring efforts and picked up 6 rebounds.
Freshman Jonah Lauff (Pana, Ill./Pana) contributed a career-high 12 points in 12 minutes coming off of the bench. Dylan Logsdon (Meridian, Idaho/Mountain View) added 7 points and 2 steals, and Ben Carter (Morton, Ill./Morton) recorded 5 points and 2 assists.
After being even at 10-10, the owls went on a 15-5 scoring run, and the Red Devils would trail the rest of the way. MUW shot a season-high 66% from the field and 58.3% from behind the arc. They finished the night with 5 players scoring double-digits.
On Wednesday, Eureka (3-10, 1-5 SLIAC) will return home to take on Fontbonne (10-3, 5-1 SLIAC) inside of the Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena and Convocation Center.
