KANSAS CITY, Mo. –  Austyn Ellison (Hudson, Ill./Bloomington Central Catholic) and Blake Castonguay (Watseka, Ill./Watseka) of the Eureka men's basketball program have been named to the 2022-23 National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court.

Ellison, the starting point guard for the Red Devils and a Third Team All-St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honoree this past winter, recently graduated with a degree in kinesiology. Castonguay, who was also a guard for the maroon and gold last year, recently graduated with a degree in elementary education. Both were SLIAC All-Academic honorees this winter as well.

The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2022-23 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. The NABC's academic awards include honorees from all levels of college basketball.

"Education is a core value of the NABC, and we are privileged to recognize these outstanding student-athletes and the coaches and support staff who invest in their development," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson. "The hundreds of teams and thousands of players that qualified for NABC academic awards this season are a testament to our sport's ongoing prioritization of success in the classroom."
