Kent selected as SLIAC Player of the Week

CARLINVILLE, Ill. – Eureka College senior guard Greg Kent (Chicago, Ill./Richards [Blackhawk]) has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. This is the second time Kent has been named SLIAC Player of the Week.

Kent started the week with a double-double in the conference-opening victory against Principia, scoring 16 points and securing 11 rebounds. He dished nine assists, one assist shy of a triple-double, and added six steals. He put up nearly identical numbers Saturday in a conference loss on the road at Spalding, filling up the box score with 16 points, 11 rebounds, 8 steals and 6 assists.

Monday's announcement marks the second time this season that a Eureka College basketball player has been selected as the SLIAC Player of the Week. The men's basketball team will be back in action on Wednesday, Dec. 16 with a home contest against Knox College. Tip-off of the non-conference tilt is slated for 7:30 p.m.
