Ten Red Devils Receive Winter SLIAC All-Academic Honors

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Eureka College placed 10 student-athletes on the Winter SLIAC All-Academic list, with the women's track team leading the way with four honorees.

The Red Devils' men's and women's basketball teams, as well as the track and wrestling programs, each had standout student-athletes recognized for their academic achievements.

The following student-athletes represented the women's basketball team: Josie Ness (Sandwich, Ill./Sandwich) and Ashley Wilcox (Hudson, Ill./Normal West). The men's basketball program was represented by Ben Carter (Morton, Ill./Morton) and Jalen Johnson (Rock Falls, Ill./Rock Falls).

The women's track team had four honorees: Emily Baker (Washington, Ill./Washington), Odessa Grove (Lewistown, Ill./Lewistown), Rachel Fisher (Metamora, Ill./Metamora), and Isabella Carbajal (Chicago, Ill./Shepard). The men's track team was represented by Hayden Skaggs (Mansfield, Texas/Mansfield).

Additionally, Vannah Berry (Carol Stream, Ill./Glenbard North) represented the women's wrestling team.

To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher, be at least a sophomore in academic standing, and have completed at least one full year at their current institution.
