ST. LOUIS, Mo. – For the second straight week, the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Wrestler of the Week is from Eureka College.

Eureka senior McKenzie Cook (Homer, Alaska/Homer/Lincoln) received the weekly award after taking runner-up at 155 pounds at the Luther Open on Saturday,  following teammate Madison Farris's (Chatsworth, Ill./Rifle) selection last week.

She recorded a pair of falls in the quarterfinals and semifinals -- sticking Buena Vista's Delanie Bushong in 45 seconds and notching a pin in 2:37 against Northland Community & Technical's Arionna Beatty -- before losing by fall in 1:55 to Jamestown's Allyssa Johnson in the first-place match.

This is the Red Devils' second wrestling season in program history and the first season of wrestling for the SLIAC.

The Eureka women's wrestling team will next compete in the Lindenwood Duals on Sunday and the men's team will compete in the Lindenwood Open on Saturday.
