Eureka Falls at Spalding, 5-1

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Eureka women's soccer team dropped a 5-1 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference meeting at Spalding on Saturday.

Eureka's Alyssa Bryant (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods) put away the lone goal for the Red Devils in the 51st minute. It was the sophomore's first of the season and second of her career. Her goal made it 3-1.

The Golden Eagles tallied three goals in the first half and added two more after Bryant's scoring strike to put the match away. Baeli Young and Faith Rutherford each had two goals for the home team, and Dori Emig had the fifth.

Eureka goalkeeper Lizzie Brooksher (Saint Charles, Mo./Saint Charles) posted 10 saves for the Red Devils.

Eureka (2-4, 1-3 SLIAC) will next take on Webster (3-4-1, 0-2-1 SLIAC) at McKinzie Field on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
