EUREKA – Westminster bested the Eureka volleyball team in three sets on Friday after the Red Devils celebrated Senior Night at Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena and Convocation Center. The final scores were 25-12, 25-14, 25-18.

Freshman Brooklyn Shell (Evansville, Ind./Mount Vernon) notched a team-high five kills on 15 attacks and contributed seven digs.

Senior Corinne DeBoard (Centralia, Ill./Christ Our Rock Lutheran) added four kills, sophomore Katelin Peters (New Berlin, Ill./New Berlin) followed with three, fellow sophomore Regan Reed (Flanagan, Ill./Flanagan-Cornell) contributed two and senior Emma Harris (Streator, Ill./Streator) had one. Setter Faith Catour (Orion, Ill./Orion) distributed 12 assists.

Senior Megan Masching (Pontiac, Ill./Pontiac) and junior Jordyn Fox (Pontiac, Ill./Pontiac) each posted a team-high 10 digs. Reed came up with eight and hit a team-high .286 on the night.

Westminster's Haley Menke tallied a match-high 10 kills in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win for the Blue Jays. Gretchen Durbala registered 18 assists, and Erica Schrader (12 digs) and Eryka Wanyonyi (10 digs) both reached double digits in digs.

Eureka stayed with Westminster in the early going of every set, but each time the Blue Jays found their groove midway through the match and EC struggled to keep pace the rest of the way.

Harris, who joined the squad last year, Masching, a three-year player, and DeBoard, a four-year player, were all honored before the match for their contributions to the program.

The Red Devils (4-14, 0-6 SLIAC) will next host SLIAC leader Greenville (12-3, 5-0 SLIAC) next Friday.
