EC Volleyball Falls to Spalding in Three Sets
 
LOUISVILLE, KY -- The Eureka volleyball team dropped a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match in three straight sets against Spalding Friday night. 

For much of the evening, the Red Devils' offense struggled to find a rhythm, only producing 21 points in the first two sets. They put up a battle in the third and final set, but could not pull it out, ulimately falling, 25-10, 25-11, 25-20.  

Setter Sara Worrell (Jacksonville, Ill./Routt Catholic) put together 15 assists to go along with nine digs. Megan Masching (Pontiac, Ill/Pontiac Township) was the only other Eureka player able to put up double-digit night with 11 digs. 

Leading the way for Eagles was Brittany Rickert who tailed 28 assists and seven digs on the night. Sarah Richards chipped in with 14 digs. 

These two teams will see each other again in just eight days when they battle it out in St. Louis, Missouri.

The Red Devils (5-11) have a quick turnaround as they take on Rose-Hulman at 1:05 p.m. and then Manchester at 3:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon in North Manchester, Indiana.
