Eureka Falls to Iowa Wesleyan, Westminster in SLIAC Quad

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa -- The Eureka volleyball team went 0-2 in its first St. Louis Intercollegiate Conference quad of the season at Iowa Wesleyan on Saturday, falling to Iowa Wesleyan in four sets and Westminster in three. 

The Red Devils came up short in the first match against Iowa Wesleyan, falling in four sets, 25-20, 14-25, 25-14, 26-24.

In the second match against Westminster (Mo.) in three straight sets, 25-20, 25-20, 25-9.

In the loss to Iowa Wesleyan, setter Sara Worrell (Jacksonville, Ill./Routt Catholic) put up a double-double with 23 assists and 10 digs. Megan Masching  (Pontiac, Ill. / Pontiac Township) delivered 11 digs, while Paige Klingler (Newton, Ill./Newton) added 10. Caitlin Miller (Washington, Ill./Washington) contributed five digs and four assists. 

Against Westminstre, Worrell again gave the Red Devils a double-double with 21 assists and 16 digs and Klingler chipped in 11 digs. 

The Red Devils will be back in action Tuesday night when they face Principia on the road in SLIAC play at 7 p.m.
