MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Eureka women's soccer team closed the 2022 season with a 2-2, non-conference draw at Mount Mary on Monday afternoon.

Eureka's Jenna Kinney (Washington, Ill./Washington) found the back of the net twice, giving her a team-high total of eight goals in her freshman season.

Her first goal was a finish in the area off a free kick from 40 yards out on the right side by fellow freshman Sydney Gabbard (Stilesville, Ind./Stilesville).

With 69 seconds until halftime, Mount Mary's Ashton Longazel delivered the equalizer on a breakaway.

Kinney struck again early in the second half, putting the Red Devils ahead again with a chip over the keeper's head from the right side of the 18-yard-box and into the left side netting.

It stayed 2-1 for most of the half, but in the 88th minute, Mount Mary evened the score again with an unassisted goal by Amanda Antonio, capping an evenly-matched contest. Mount Mary finished with one more shot than Eureka, 24-23, and both teams finished with 15 shots on goal.

Eureka goalkeeper Lizzie Brooksher (Saint Charles, Mo./Saint Charles) recorded 13 saves on the day.

Kinney finished with six shots on goal. Abby Mitchell (Peoria, Ill./Illinois Valley Central) and Alyssa Bryant (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods) each had three, Gabbard had two and Kate LeMasters (Metamora, Ill./Metamora)

With the tie, the Red Devils concluded the fall with a 3-13-1 record on the season and a 2-12 mark in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.
