ANKENY, Iowa – The Eureka College women's soccer team took its first road trip of the 2017 season Friday afternoon in Ankeny, Iowa, dropping a 10-0 non-conference decision to NCCAA Faith Baptist Bible.
Lyndi Shepard netted a hat trick for the hosts, including the match-winning goal in the 13th minute.
Eureka sophomore goalkeeper Sunshine Nowak-Wolff (Crete, Ill./Crete-Monee H.S.) made six saves in the full 90 minutes for the Red Devils.
The Red Devils will now turn their attention to the first-ever soccer match in the 87-year history of McKinzie Field when EC hosts Lincoln Christian Thursday under the lights on the new FieldTurf. The contest is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
