Greenville powers past Eureka in season finale

GREENVILLE, Ill. – Eureka College women's basketball junior Luci Weis (Bloomington, Ill./Normal Community) scored a team-high 14 points off the bench, but the Greenville Panthers controlled the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contest from the tip to race away with a 64-43 victory, Saturday afternoon inside H.J. Long Gymnasium.

Eureka finished the regular season with an 11-14 overall record and 10-8 mark in the SLIAC. Greenville improves to 18-7 and 14-4 in conference.

Senior Emily Camden (Green Valley, Ill./Midwest Central) added eight points, moving into 10th place on the EC all-time scoring list with 1,082 career points.

Freshman Lexi Dooley (Sutter, Ill./Warsaw) grabbed 11 rebounds, her third consecutive outing with double-digit boards.

The Red Devils were held to just 20 percent shooting from the field (13-of-65) while the host finished the day 19-of-62 (.306) from the floor.

Greenville's Coley Baker paced the scoring for the host, recording 15 points on 5-of-15 (.333) shooting from the field.

The Red Devils turn their attention to the SLIAC Tournament where they'll be the #4 seed and face tournament host and top-seeded Westminster Blue Jays on Friday night in Fulton, Mo.
