Peoria Chiefs to Honor EC Softball Aug. 23

PEORIA, Ill.  — A few months ago, the Peoria Chiefs honored the Eureka College football and men’s basketball programs.

Now, it’s the softball team’s turn.

On Friday, Aug. 23, the Chiefs will recognize the 2019 Red Devils for capturing their first-ever St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference softball league and Tournament titles last spring.

EC softball head coach Debi Neff will throw out a ceremonial first pitch, and the history-making 2019 squad will be introduced before the game begins with first pitch at Dozer Park at 6:35 p.m.

Tickets for admission-only are $9 and can be purchased on groupmatics.events/ event/ECSoftball, or you can join the Eureka College Alumni and Development annual alumni gathering on the 3rd Base Party Deck for $40.

The price of the party includes admission to the game, and an all-you-can-eat buffet with Upper Deck Grill serving hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken breasts, potato salad, chips and dip, cookies, soft drinks, lemonade, water and a cash bar.
