Dura, Osborn, Smith Named to All-SLIAC Team

ST. ANN, Mo. – Eureka College senior shortstop Kerrigan Dura (Edwards, Ill./Brimfield H.S.) has been voted to the All-St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference First Team and sophomores Morgan Osborn (Washington, Ill./Washington H.S.) and Erin Smith (Dunlap, Ill./Dunlap H.S.) were named to the All-SLIAC Third Team, according to an announcement Thursday night at the SLIAC Tournament at ABC Park in St. Ann, Mo.

Red Devils Suffer Losses at Fontbonne to Close Regular Season

ST. ANN, Mo. – The Eureka College softball team played the final two games of the 2018 regular season on Saturday afternoon at Fontbonne, dropping both ends of a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader to the Griffins at ABC Park in St. Ann, Mo. Fontbonne came back for a 4-3 win in game one and broke a late tie to win game two, 7-4.

Eureka Sweeps Away RMU-Springfield in Home Finale

EUREKA, Ill. – Gabby Wood (Bartonville, Ill./Limestone H.S.) broke open game one with a bases-loaded triple and later smashed her fifth collegiate home run in game two to drive the Eureka College softball team to a non-conference doubleheader sweep of USCAA Robert Morris-Springfield, Wednesday afternoon in Eureka. The Red Devils won the opener 8-3 and also triumphed in the nightcap, 10-2 in six innings.

EUREKA, Ill. -- The Eureka College softball team made big strides Tuesday in the race for a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament bid, sweeping a critical league doubleheader from Webster in Eureka. The Red Devils walked off with a 6-5 win in eight innings in game one and Kali George (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria H.S.) set a new all-time Eureka record for wins in the nightcap with her 46th career triumph in EC’s 4-2 win.

George Ties Pitching Wins Mark in Sunday Sweep of STLCOP

EUREKA, Ill. -- Kali George (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria H.S.) tied the all-time program record for pitching victories Sunday with her 45th career win in the nightcap of the Eureka College softball team’s non-conference sweep of NAIA St. Louis College of Pharmacy. The Red Devils beat the Eutectics in game game one 7-2 and came from behind to win game two 4-1.

Late Westminster Rallies Topple Red Devils Saturday

EUREKA, Ill. – St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference leader Westminster used multi-run rallies in the top of the seventh inning of both games of a league doubleheader to top the Eureka College softball team twice, Saturday afternoon in Eureka, Ill. The Blue Jays prevailed in the opener, 4-0, and also won game two, 8-2.

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Adrianna Zeman (La Salle, Ill./La Salle-Peru H.S.) collected a career-high four hits in game one and Kali George (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria H.S.) won her 44th career decision in the pitching circle in game two, leading the Eureka College softball team to a non-conference doubleheader sweep of Rose-Hulman, Thursday afternoon in Terre Haute, Ind. The Red Devils downed the hosts 10-4 in game one and also won game two, 6-3.

EUREKA, Ill. – Kerrigan Dura (Edwards, Ill./Brimfield H.S.) drove in six to extend her all-time Eureka College RBI record to 120, Morgan Osborn (Washington, Ill./Washington H.S.) drilled her seventh career home run to move into seventh place on the Red Devils’ all-time list and Kali George (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria H.S.) continued her pursuit of becoming the winningest pitcher in program history with her 43rd career victory, all in the Red Devils’ St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference sweep of MacMurray, Wednesday afternoon in Eureka. EC won the opener, 10-2 in five innings, and also rolled to an abbreviated 14-1 win in game two.

Senior Duo Lifts Eureka Thursday at Iowa Wesleyan

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa – Kali George (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria H.S.) threw a two-hit shutout for her 42nd career victory and Kerrigan Dura (Edwards, Ill./Brimfield H.S.) homered twice, helping the Eureka College softball team return to the win column in Thursday’s St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference sweep of Iowa Wesleyan in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. The Red Devils prevailed in extra innings in the opener, 7-2, and romped to a 10-0 victory in the nightcap.

EUREKA, Ill. -- The Eureka College softball team will continue its busiest stretch of the 2018 season with eight games against four different opponents this week, including three St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference doubleheaders on the road in which the Red Devils will travel nearly 1,000 miles in a span of five days.

Greenville Survives Dura’s Historic Day For Tuesday Sweep

GREENVILLE, Ill. – Kerrigan Dura (Edwards, Ill./Brimfield H.S.) clubbed her 49th collegiate double in game one to break the Eureka College softball program’s all-time record and later belted a two-run home run in the nightcap to set the Red Devils’ all-time RBI mark at 109, but preseason St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference favorite Greenville rallied in both ends of Tuesday’s league doubleheader to sweep the Red Devils in Greenville, Ill. The Panthers won the opener, 8-4, and also prevailed in game two, 5-4.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Morgan Osborn (Washington, Ill./Washington H.S.) hit a leadoff home run, Kerrigan Dura (Edwards, Ill./Brimfield H.S.) doubled twice with three RBI and Erin Smith (Dunlap, Ill./Dunlap H.S.) won her league-best sixth game in the circle in the Eureka College softball team’s 8-1 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory at Spalding, Sunday afternoon in Louisville, Ky. The Golden Eagles scored three in the bottom of seventh in game two for a 4-3 win and a split in the twin bill.

LOUIS, Mo. – Eureka College senior shortstop Kerrigan Dura (Edwards, Ill./Brimfield H.S.) repeated as the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week and senior right-hander Kali George (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria H.S.) was tabbed SLIAC Pitcher of the Week after the duo led the Red Devils to a big league sweep of Principia last Saturday.

EAST PEORIA, Ill. -- Kerrigan Dura (Edwards, Ill./Brimfield H.S.) and Kali George (East Peoria, Ill./East Peoria H.S.) combined to drive in eight runs Saturday to become the third and fourth players in program history to reach 100 career RBI while George inched closer to the all-time Eureka wins record with a victory in the circle in game two, helping the Eureka College softball team cruise to a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference sweep of Principia at the EastSide Centre in East Peoria, Ill. The Red Devils won game one, 11-1 in five innings, and claimed the nightcap with a 12-4 triumph in six innings.
