DUBUQUE, Iowa. -- Eureka College freshman guard Hank Thomas (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods) led the Red Devils with a game-high 18 points, his third consecutive double-digit effort, but the Duhawks downed the Red Devils, 104-67 in non-conference action, Saturday night Dubuque, Iowa.
Classmate Alex Wiegand (Washington, Ill./Washington) added 15 points, and seniors Tommy Goulding (Aurora, Ill./West Aurora [Aurora]) (11 points) and Sam Feehan (Peoria, Ill./Notre Dame [Illinois Central]) (10 points) also hit double-digits. Wiegand paced the Red Devils with seven rebounds. Goulding and senior guardGreg Kent (Chicago, Ill./Richards [Blackhawk]) dished four assists apiece.
LC's Michael Mimms poured in a team-high 17 points on 6-for-6 shooting off the bench, including a perfect 5-for-5 from beyond the arch. The Duhawks outrebounded the visitors, 41-31.
Eureka will tip-off conference play at home Tuesday with an 8 p.m. contest against Principia.
