EUREKA — For the second time in as many weeks, Tanner Kuhne (Princeton, Ill./Princeton) is the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Special Teams Player of the Week.

A week after the senior differentiated himself from the field by running 21 yards for a first down when a planned punt fell through, Kuhne made news for his consistency over time.

In the first quarter after Eureka's second touchdown of the night, the Red Devils' kicker placed the ball between the uprights and became EC's all-time leader in extra points. It was the 109th time he'd come through for the maroon and gold in that situation, one more than previous leader Travis Huber (2009-'12).

He made five extra points on the night and punted four times for 136 yards, pinning it inside the 20 twice and inside the 5 once.

This was the eighth Special Teams Player of the Week award of Kuhne's career. In 2017, he snagged three Upper Midwest Athletic Conference awards, and last season, he earned three more during Eureka's first season in the NACC.
