Spalding swipes a pair of SLIAC contests from Eureka

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding Golden Eagles took a pair of St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contests from the Eureka College baseball team, Saturday afternoon at Derby City Field in Louisville, Ky.

In game one, sophomore Trever Zeibert (Monee, Ill./Peotone) and freshman Jake Miller (Washington, Ill./Washington) collected a pair of hits each, while senior Seth Aydt (Washington, Ill./Washington) provided a run-scoring double for his 10th RBI of the season.

Sophomore Logan Wilde (Princeton, Ill./Princeton) highlighted game two for EC, finishing 3-for-4 at the plate, including a solo home run to left field. Zeibert, senior Nick Passini (Dalzell, Ill./St. Bede Academy [IVCC]) and freshman Max Marcoux (Jennings County, Ind./Jennings County) tallied RBIs, with Zeibert's coming off a triple to center field.

The Red Devils return to the field on Wednesday with a conference road double header scheduled against Blackburn. First pitch of game one is slated for 1 p.m.
