GREENVILLE, Ill. – The Eureka College baseball team's 2016 campaign came to a close Tuesday night with a pair of St. Louis Intercollegiate contests at Greenville College. The Red Devils dropped both games, 9-3 and 8-0.
Senior Nick Passini (Dalzell, Ill./St. Bede Academy [IVCC]) collected a pair of hits and one run batted in in the opener.
Freshman Max Marcoux (Jennings County, Ind./Jennings County), classmate Grant Mullin (Hegewisch, Ill./St. Rita) and sophomore Ray Vogel (Bartonville, Ill./Limestone) each notched a hit and run scored.
Greenville's four pitchers combined to toss a two hitter in the nightcap to sophomore Trever Zeibert (Monee, Ill./Peotone) and freshman Jeremy Sinople (Oak Lawn, Ill./St. Rita).
Tuesday's double header marked the final collegiate games for five seniors, while the Red Devils expect to have as many as 21 players return next season.
