EC Cross Country Notches PRs at Millikin

DECATUR, Ill. – The Eureka cross country team notched a slew of personal records at the 2021 Big Blue Alumni Invite on Saturday morning.

Three EC runners competed in the 1,500-meter run and one ran the 800 as well. Every EC performance marked a new personal record for the Red Devils.

In the men's 1,500, Javy Garcia and Bryce Logsdon finished fourth and seventh in their section, respectively. Garcia, a sophomore, was 27th overall in 4:52.62. Logsdon, a junior, was 30th in 5:22.25.

He also placed eighth in the 800 with a time of 2:26.13.

In the women's 1,500, freshman Riley Reuter was 13th in her section and 25th overall with a time of 6:50.17.

"They ran well today and gained valuable experience and confidence," EC coach Chris Robinson said. "Today was a great foundation for the rest of the season and next year."

The Red Devils will next compete in another outdoor track meet at Greenville on April 17.
