Eureka Falls at Harris-Stowe in Four Sets

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Eureka volleyball team fell to Harris-Stowe in four sets on the road on Monday evening.

In the team's first match in over a week, the Red Devils came out and won the first set, but the home team responded by claiming the next three in a row. The final scores were 25-18, 21-25, 17-25, 14-25.

Brooklyn Shell (Evansville, Ind./Mount Vernon) racked up a team-high eight kills while hitting .174 and had four service aces, along with five digs.

Hope McGinnes (Mackinaw, Ill./Deer Creek-Mackinaw/Lincoln) followed with six kills and eight assists. Madison Richards (Princeton, Ill./Princeton) added four kills while hitting .273. Sara Hart (Secor, Ill./Eureka) distributed a team-high 21 assists. Libero Regan Reed (Flanagan, Ill./Flanagan-Cornell) finished with a team-high 16 digs.

Harris-Stowe's Ariel Stroud (14 kills), Jayden Sortor (12) and A'nyla Watson (11) all reached double-digit kills for the Yellow Jackets, while A'Nia Ware registered 44 assists.

The Red Devils (5-4) will next open St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference on Friday at Fontbonne (3-1). First serve is set for 7 p.m.
