Benedictine Downs Eureka in Chicagoland

LISLE, Ill. – Benedictine defeated the Eureka College volleyball team 25-18, 25-17, 25-20 Wednesday night in Lisle, Ill.

Lexi Dooley (Sutter, Ill./Warsaw H.S.) paced the Red Devils' offense with 11 kills and three service aces. Runa Akagawa (Saitama, Japan/Ritsumeikan Keisho) also had three service aces while Heather Robinson (Peoria, Ill./Limestone H.S.) and McKenna Cleer (Havana, Ill./Havana H.S.) put up a team-best eight digs apiece. Robinson added 15 assists.

The Red Devils will have a full week off from game competition before returning to Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena and Convocation Center on Wednesday, Oct. 3 for a 7 p.m. St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match versus Blackburn.
