Benedictine Sweeps Eureka in Three Sets

LISLE, Ill. -- The Eureka College volleyball team fell in three sets Wednesday evening, 25-21, 25-20, 25-11, in non-conference action at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill.

Sophomore middle hitter Anna Gauger (El Paso, Ill./El Paso-Gridley) paced the Red Devils with seven kills, seven digs and the lone Red Devil service ace, while setter Heather Robinson (Peoria, Ill./Limestone) recorded a team-high nine assists. Junior defensive specialist Emily Harrod (Eureka, Ill./Eureka) tallied nine digs over the three frames to led the visitors defensively.

Eureka will jump into St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action this weekend, participating in a tri-match at Greenville against the host and Webster Gorloks. First match against the Gorloks is set for 11 a.m.
