Iowa Wesleyan Sweeps Eureka in Three Sets

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa – Iowa Wesleyan junior setter Maggie Earney put up a double-double with 36 assists and 12 digs, leading the host Tigers to a 25-14, 25-19, 25-18 over the Eureka College volleyball team, Tuesday night in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.

Eureka freshman opposite Heather Robinson (Peoria, Ill./Limestone) picked up nine kills, eight assists, six digs and block solo, while classmate defensive specialist Jordan Detmers (Hartsburg, Ill./Hartsburg-Emden) tallied 17 digs to lead the Red Devils.

The Red Devils will have three days to prepare for their next SLIAC bout, hosting the Blackburn College on Saturday at the Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena and Convocation Center. Eureka will square off against the Beavers at 12 p.m.
