Lincoln Christian downs Eureka in final home match

EUREKA, Ill. – Lincoln Christian Lions' Kristina Nichols registered 14 kills and 11 digs, lifting the visitors to a 26-24, 25-16, 25-16 nonconference victory over the Eureka College volleyball team, Monday evening in the Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena and Convocation Center.

Sophomore outside hitter Beth Mickna (Deer Creek, Ill.-Dee Mack) paced the host offensively with six kills, while freshman opposite Heather Robinson (Peoria, Ill./Limestone) chipped in four kills, four assists, and one block solo. Sophomore setter Meagan Hanney (Sherman, Ill./Williamsville) paced Eureka with 13 of the team's 19 total assists.

Freshman defensive specialist Jordan Detmers (Hartsburg, Ill./Hartsburg-Emden) collected seven digs, and classmate Ava Patterson (Emden, Ill./Hartsburg-Emden) and Hanney added six apiece.

Eureka will conclude their 2015 season tomorrow night on the road in St. Louis, Mo. against the Fontbonne Griffins. First serve of the match is set for 7 p.m.
