Red Devils Sharpen Up at Hilltop Classic Ahead of SLIAC Championships

JACKSONVILLE, IL. – The Eureka distance team travelled to Jacksonville, Illinois to compete at the Illinois College Hilltop Classic on Friday.

Due to inclement weather, the field shrank to a smaller field than originally anticipated. Some members of the Eureka team were impacted as well. "We traveled down 2 of our women and 3 on the men's side," Coach Chris Robinson said. "We were still able to come away with 4 PRs and are in good position going into next week's SLIAC Indoor Championship."

Coach Robinson was especially proud of the way the men's side performed on Friday: "the men had their strongest showing of the season, and it was gratifying to see them have that much success."

The Red Devil distance teams will now look to prepare for the SLIAC Indoor Championships in Elsah, Illinois on Saturday, February 24th at 1:30 p.m.
