Red Devils compete in Liberal Arts Championship

ELSAH, Ill. -- The Eureka College swim team wrapped up the 2015-16 season over the weekend, participating in the annual Liberal Arts Championships, a three-day event held on Principia College's campus in Elsah, Ill.

Senior Elizabeth Horning (Washington, Ill./Notre Dame) conculded her senior campaign with a times of 29:00 in the women's 50 freestyle and 1:26.78 in the 100-yard breaststroke. Junior Megan Birky (Hopedale, Ill./Olympia) finished the women's 100-yard freestyle with a time of 1:11.86. Freshman Brie Birky (Hopedale, Ill./Olympia) concluded her first season as a collegiate swimmer with a 1:15.49 in women's 100-yard butterfly. The women's team placed 12th overall in the event. 

Junior Sam Dailey (Tuscola, Ill./Tuscola) time in the men's 100-yard freestyle was clocked at 1:07.03.

Luther College took home the women's final, while Franklin College took home the men's swimming and diving championship. The result concludes the 2015-16 swim schedule for the Red Devils.
