EUREKA – The Eureka women's soccer team lost 14-0 against Spalding in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play at McKinzie Field on Saturday.

Eureka goalkeeper Gabby Penberthy (Sullivan, Ill./Sullivan) recorded 20 saves in net for the Red Devils.

The Golden Eagles tallied seven goals in each half.

Melaney Frick recorded a hat trick, Faith Rutherford and Kelli Bergmark each had two goals and seven others found the back of the net for the Golden Eagles.

Eureka (0-12, 0-7 SLIAC) will next take on Blackburn (3-7-4, 0-4-2) on the road on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
