EUREKA -- Alverno's Ali Sowieja broke a scoreless tie in the 14th minute and teammate Grace Caster added a hat trick in the Inferno's 7-0 non-conference win over the Eureka College women's soccer team, Friday night at McKinzie Field.
Both teams battled constant rainfall on the FieldTurf as the remnants of Tropical Storm Gordon have dumped several inches of rainfall on the Midwest at the end of the week.
Eureka will be back in action next Tuesday at home at 4 p.m. against NAIA St. Mary-of-the-Woods.
