MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa – The Eureka College women's soccer team and Iowa Wesleyan Tigers recorded a 0-0 double overtime tie Wednesday evening in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
It was the first overtime match since a 2-1 victory over Rockford on Sept. 18, 2013 and first tie since Oct. 27, 2011 at MacMurray College.
The Red Devils had their chances on Wednesday, out-shooting the Tigers, 29-3. Eureka put 12 of those shots on frame.
Senior duo Kaitlyn West (Fort Worth, Texas/Haltom) and Faith Williams (Robinson, Ill./Robinson) led the Red Devils shot barrage, each with three shots on goal.
Eureka (2-2-1, 0-0-1 SLIAC) will return home Friday for a 4 p.m. non-conference contest against the Faith Bible Baptist Eagles.
