CARLINVILLE, Ill. – Eureka's Sydney Hannam (Canton, Ill./Canton/Spoon River) dropped a career-high 43 points to lead the Red Devils to a 104-59 rout at Blackburn on Wednesday night.

It was the first 40-point game in program history since Hayley Reneau's 41 against Monmouth on Nov. 21, 2017, and the highest scoring performance since Caty Eeten's 49 against Knox on Nov. 17, 2011.

It was also the first time Eureka has eclipsed the 100-point mark since a 102-53 win over the Beavers on Jan. 27, 2018.

Eureka is now 1-2 in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play following two close losses against Greenville and Westminster to start league play last week.

The Red Devils racked up a season-high 104 points while shooting a season-best 56.5 percent from the field.

Hannam shot 13-for-20 from the field, knocked down 6 3-pointers for the first time in her career as a Red Devil and went 11-for-13 at the free-throw line. She also grabbed seven rebounds, dished three assists and had two steals in 32 minutes.

Sophomore and recent transfer Jurnee Flournoy (Decatur, Ill./Decatur MacArthur) tallied a career-high 20 points on 8-for-10. She canned both of her 3-point attempts and added three rebounds, three assists and two steals.

Shakaya Rogers (Hanover, Mich./Concord/Glen Oaks) tallied 14 points while going 6-for-9 from the field, and notched six boards, six assists and two steals.

Reece Putrich (Canton, Ill./Canton) followed with nine points, three rebounds, three assists and a steal.

Abby Stotler (Wyoming, Ill./Stark County/MacMurray) produced eight points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals, while Madi Jernigan (Bartonville, Ill./Limestone/Blackburn) pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds and distributed a career-high seven assists. She also had six points and pair of steals.

The rout was one from nearly the get-go. Eureka poured in 30 points in the first quarter and jumped out to a 16-point lead. The Red Devils recorded a 64.7 field-goal percentage and drained four 3s.

The team didn't cool down much from there, gradually extending the lead the rest of the way. The Red Devils finished with 28 fast-break points and scored 37 points off turnovers. They also registered a season-high 25 assists and finished with less than 20 turnovers (17) for the second time this season.

Defensively, Eureka held Blackburn to 31.3 percent shooting and 22.7 percent from distance.

On Saturday, Eureka (4-10, 1-2 SLIAC) will host Spalding (4-9, 1-1 SLIAC) in SLIAC play inside Christine Bonati Bollwinkle Arena and Convocation Center at 1 p.m.
